The community around this conference comes from Interchange 5, which had its biggest growth spurt before 2006 and has been in active maintenance mode since then. Many successful, high-traffic ecommerce sites are still running and thriving on Interchange 5, but there are better ways to write Perl for the web nowadays.

We'll look at ways to drag an old but busy and profitable ecommerce application into the modern world of new frameworks such as Dancer. We'll see how to integrate with web applications in other programming languages. And most importantly, we'll talk about how to keep the site stable while making big changes.
